WHO WE ARE

SIMONE KENYON

Owner & Founder of Energy Cntr Yoga

Owner and founder of Energy Cntr Yoga, Simone's passion and love for the practice will keep you coming back for more.

After being a gymnast for almost 10 years it was a natural progression to discover the practice of yoga.

Simone's practice became a part of her daily life almost 7 years ago, since then she continued with the daily practice leading her to complete her 200hr YTT in 2020 with Patrick Beach.

Simone has a unique approach to teaching blending both traditional and modern yoga, her yoga practice and teaching style are inspired by her Dad and his resilient nature after he became sick contracting necrotizing fasciitis in 2010; resulting in 12 months in hospital and a continuous recovery program today. His resilience, love and passion for life inspires all of the classes Simone teaches and her promise is to always lead from a deep passion and understanding of gratitude for the human body.

Simone truly believe's that every time you step onto your yoga mat, you are practicing from a deep love for yourself.

You practice yoga simply because it is your nature to do so, there is no separation, it is simply just a way of life.  With a love for powerful, unique and strong classes, the classes are designed with the underlying value to inspire students in all aspects of their body and mind.

My yoga journey began through the practise of hot yoga (Bikram) and blossomed into my love for vinyasa.

There are so many different types of yoga and ways to teach it but I’ve always found vinyasa to be the best way to explore and express all the amazing things our bodies can do.

I still remember my first vinyasa class, being so overwhelmed with self acceptance, love and gratitude for what my body did for me.

I am the proud Mum to three gorgeous girls. I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years, but it wasn't until I started struggling with my mental health several months ago, that it truly changed my life.

For me, yoga is not just about the benefits to your body (although these are amazing!), it's how it benefits your mind. How it makes you feel! It's what it teaches us off the mat, that I love the most.

Yoga allows us to slow down and turn our attention inwards, noticing what's serving us and what's not.

It's a beautiful journey of self-exploration and discovery, and one that I feel forever grateful to have started.

Growing up I used to dance, I always felt drawn to movement, fast forward three years ago I went to my first yoga class, I knew this is what I would love to do and offer the world.

I’m passionate about exploring the body in an anatomical approach, challenging yourself, connecting to your body through movement and breath, along with creating a space for others that is safe to explore and connect with yourself on the mat.

I love that feeling of expansion and calmness in your mind and body after each yoga practice, to me it’s a form of self-love, and being able to guide others is such a dream come true for me!

Can’t wait to be in this beautiful space, and connect with you all.
